Classic Homemade Burger

Ingredients:

  • For the Patty:

    • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
    • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)


  • For the Toppings:

    • 4 burger buns
    • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
    • Lettuce leaves
    • Tomato slices
    • Onion slices
    • Pickles
    • Ketchup, mustard, or your favorite sauces

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties:

    • In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder if using.
    • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Press them slightly in the center to avoid bulging during cooking.
  2. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on your desired doneness (3 minutes per side for medium-rare, 4 minutes per side for medium).
